A full-length Picatinny top rail for the Action Army AAP-01 — built specifically for the folding stock kit with aluminium front. Designed from scratch to sit flush, lock solid, and give you a proper mounting platform without compromise.

Folding Stock Kit + Aluminium Front
Designed specifically for the AAP-01 with the folding stock kit and aluminium front section installed. It won't fit the standard pistol configuration — this is a carbine build part.
Three-Point Lock
Rear, Front & Top
The rail locks in at three points for a rattle-free, solid fit:
1. Rear bolt — locks into the existing rear stock bolt position where the sight normally sits. No extra holes needed.
2. Front hook — scoops under the aluminium front rail to anchor the forward end.
3. Top bolts — 2× CS M3×8mm bolts through the top lock everything down flush.
Sits Flush, Looks Clean
Proper Rail, Not a Compromise
Designed to sit flush against the receiver with no visible gap. The Picatinny profile is correctly spaced — standard scope mounts, red dots and accessories fit without modification.
TDC Version — Late Development
The TDC version is currently in late-stage development and being tested. It is not yet available but is close — watch this page for updates.
External Hop-Up Adjustment
The TDC version is designed specifically for the Hardon hop-up house. It uses an external hex bolt to adjust the hop-up from outside the rail — no disassembly needed.
The adjuster wheel features a built-in latch to prevent accidental hop-up changes mid-game. Set it, latch it, forget it.
Hardware
- 2× CS M3×8mm bolts (top lock)
- 1× CS M3x10mm bolt (To folding stock picatini)
Print Settings
- Print with the Picatinny side facing down
- Specially designed cutouts eliminate the need for supports on most of the part
- Support only needed at the front — the small section that scoops under the aluminium front
- 3–5 walls for strength
- 20–30% gyroid infill
This design must be printed at 0.2mm layer height. The Picatinny rail slots and internal cutouts are dimensioned specifically for 0.2mm layers. Using a different layer height will affect fit and function.
What to Print In
Good balance of strength and dimensional accuracy. Handles the stress of bolt mounting without cracking. Preferred brands: Prusament, Bambu Lab, Polymaker. Printed and tested on a Prusa Core One using Polymaker PETG.
Parts are designed with ~0.15–0.3mm clearance. If your printer runs tighter or looser, a light sand on the contact surfaces may be needed for a perfect fit.
