The EAS Advance PCB V1.0 is the first official hardware version designed to run the EAS Advance firmware on an ESP32-S3. It works with the listed components (see component list on discord). This version was developed during active testing and refinement, and while fully functional, it should be considered an early hardware release.
The backside layout was part of an input method test at the time of ordering the PCBs. Since the final input method had not yet been decided, parts of the backside can be ignored. Only the top side of the board, where the ESP32 is mounted, is relevant for normal use.
Version 2.0 will feature a significantly improved layout and overall refinement. Because 50 pieces of V1.0 were produced during testing, they are being sold at a low price. Please note that these boards are sold without instructions and without warranty.
Important: There is a known design error regarding the buck converter EN (enable) pin. When soldering the buck converter, you must either not solder the EN pin to the board, or cut the PCB trace that connects 5V to EN on the backside. Failing to do this may cause incorrect operation.
The board uses PH 2.0 connectors as follows:
-
2x 2-pin connectors (motor and power)
-
1x 3-pin connector (LED)
-
1x 4-pin connector (sensors)
-
1x 8-pin connector (LCD)
This board should be considered a quick and practical solution rather than a long-term, polished product. However, purchasing V1.0 supports further development and helps fund larger production runs for the improved V2.0 version. You will get a discount to upgrade to v2.0 when that is released.
